Shocks And Struts: Suspension

Think of a bouncing super ball, those hard balls that go like crazy. Once they start bouncing you can’t control where they’re going to go.

Your vehicle would be just like that if it weren’t for the shocks and struts. They are integral parts in the suspension and steering systems of your car and they take a lot of abuse. If roads were all smooth as glass they would last forever, but we all know that’s not the kind of roads we have around here. As you drive, the springs on your vehicle allow the wheels to stay in contact with the road during dips and absorb some of the energy when you hit a bump. Your shocks and struts keep the wheel from bouncing up and down (and side to side) repeatedly by applying resistance to the springs and stability to the side to side movement. If your car or truck isn’t riding right or it wants to wander a bit on its own, it’s time to bring it in to let us look at your shocks and struts and the rest of your steering and suspension system. Keeping this system tight and operating right makes your vehicle much safer and driving a lot less work. It can also keep you from wearing your tires out faster. Our suspension experts will check your shocks and struts and the rest of your steering and suspension system to help you get more miles out of your present vehicle and save you money.
