Sumitomo Tires - a legacy thats lasted nearly 400 years

Not many companies can trace their heritage back nearly 400 years. Sumitomo Tire can. In the early 1600’s Masatomo Sumitomo, opened a book and medicine shop in Japan. He wrote his business philosophy down in what became known as the “Founders Precepts.” The guiding principles in the Precepts were Integrity and Sound Management.

The Sumitomo logo incorporates the IGETA symbol which symbolizes spirit and substance and the never ending flow of a spring.
